 This house gets its name from the beautiful 100 year old huge oak tree that is the centerpiece for the back deck! The deck is 30 feet long anchored by a large OUTDOOR SPA (hot tub). When you must travel back to technology, you can do so by hanging out in the living room. In there you will find a Satellite TV, DVD/VHS player and a CD player. When its time to say goodnight, you can have your choice of 2 bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen and second has twin beds. If you fall asleep in the living, do not fret because there is a queen sofa sleeper. This cabin will comfortably sleep 6, which is the number of steaks to have on the BBQ that is on the deck. The cabin itself is open beam and mountain flavored. You are also within walking distance to the village and the lake. Be prepared to stare in awe of nature! This popular home has been newly carpeted and decorated, and will accommodate up to 16 people (the maximum number allowed in the city), or combine with our Thrush Home, #33, just two doors away, for larger groups. Both homes are close to all the popular activities you come for in Big Bear, including Meadow Park, just a ten minute walk away. Inside the home you will find a formal living room with a Vermont Castings wood stove on a brick hearth. Adjacent is the “piano room”. Relax on our new overstuffed furniture in the upstairs great room, with pool table and big screen TV. A fully equiped kitchen has everything from pots and pans, coffeemaker, wine glasses, and more, and is part of the great room, separated only by a large island bar that's perfect for gathering. The dining room is also next to the kitchen, and will seat your group for dinner. Just outside the piano room is an outdoor spa, where you can relax and visit with your group, or sit around the screened wood fire pit and watch the embers dance under the stars. The huge master bedroom has a king bed and an additional pull-out bed. Bedroom two is decorated with Asian decor, and has a queen bed and a futon chair with ottoman that fold down into a single bed. Bedroom three is decorated as "The Tree Room", and also has a queen bed and a futon chair with ottoman that fold down into a single bed.
